2. Board of Appeals Member Application

   This application is for those interested in volunteering to serve on the Board of Appeals and is due to the City Clerk’s office by 4:30 p.m. on April 17, 2026. 

4. Appointment Authority:

   “The board of appeals shall be appointed by the applicable governing authority and shall hold office at its pleasure.”

    -  International Building Code Sec. 113 and Sec. 98 101.1 Rules and Procedures created by Board of Appeals in 1998

    

   “…five members appointed by the board who are residents in the city…” Branson Municipal Code Sec. 1-2

6. Duties

   “The board of appeals shall consist of members who are qualified by experience and training to pass on matters pertaining to building construction and are not employees of the jurisdiction.”

   Expires

   -April 2027

10. "AT WILL" Appointment

    “The appointments to all boards, commissions, committees and councils are at the will of the board, unless otherwise provided in this Code or by state law.” – Branson Municipal Code Sec. 2-201

12. Removal From Board

    Appointee may be removed from a board, commission, committee and council for any reason. “Appointee removal shall be in the same manner and vote requirement as the manner and vote requirement for appointment.” – Branson Municipal Code Sec. 2-201
