Hiawatha Traffic Construction Phasing

Project Background & History

Hiawatha Heights was selected as the first neighborhood to receive major upgrades under the City of Branson’s $70 million Neighborhood Revitalization Program—an ambitious, long-term effort to improve critical infrastructure across the community.

Construction begins on or after July 21, 2025, and will focus on:

  • Replacing aging water mains
  • Improving water pressure and reducing service disruptions
  • Doubling the number of fire hydrants to enhance public safety
  • Resurfacing all public streets with new asphalt after underground work is complete.

These improvements not only modernize essential services but also support public safety and strengthen the long-term sustainability of the neighborhood. Delays in easement acquisition extended the initial timeline, but construction is now moving forward, with the City working closely with remaining property owners to finalize outstanding agreements.
